today is my birthday. i am seventeen now.
i have the lord of the rings soundtrack, and ian gave me another whitney's sampler. this time it's volume 2: road trip. fun stuff.

well, we got our dsl line and it is wonderful! it's fast fast fast. and now i can blog more, if i can manage to get the time.
we had a recital at our house on thursday. there were far too many people, but seeing little ten year old nicholas' face light up when i walked into the room made it all worth it.
there are far too many people at my house right now. seven plus our family, which makes twelve. and half of them are under the age of eleven. it is rather stressful. but i'm happy.
i was sitting in the dining room today, just chilling and sipping on my coke float that allison made for me when suddenly the first paragraph of a story hit me in the head and and so i wrote it down on a napkin. here is is:
There once was a town called Nowheresville. That wasn't its real name, but that's what everyone called it, so the younger generation didn't know its real name. If you addressed a letter to Nowheresville, USA, the mailman knew where to take it. The name suited the town well. It was small, friendly and smack in the middle of the Great Plains without any neighbors as far as anyone could see or even travel in an hour.
oh my gosh. my sister just informed me that there is a mouse about two feet away from where i have to sleep tonight. i am not a happy camper.

hi. i really am here. i haven't just fallen off the face of the earth, but my internet time is highly limited (as is
my time), so i can't be on here much.
things have been rather crazy around here. we finally moved two and half weeks ago and have been working ever since. on the yard, on the house, cleaning our room, going through boxes, while still doing the normal stuff like making lunch and doing laundry.
i planted some purple flowers yesterday.
